What does a guest actually do?
They open a page with the code on their invitation, reply for their invitation, and record how and when they arrive and where they are staying. They can choose to be shown other guests arriving around the same time, and to connect with them. A shared album opens when the celebrations begin.
What can a planner see without a guest agreeing to anything?
Their own list: names, invitations, who is in each party, each person’s reply, their email address and their invitation code. The arrival picture counts the invitations that are coming and have shared their journey, and each line of it opens onto the invitations it counts.
What can a planner see only if a guest agrees?
Their travel method, airport, arrival date and time, and the name and area of where they are staying. Separately, what each person needs to eat. If they picked the place from the search, it also appears on the map.
Can a guest change their mind?
Yes, at any time, in one press, with no confirm step and no second ask. For their arrival and stay the planner goes back to the list details above, with their arrival still counted in the overall picture. For what they need to eat, everything recorded is deleted.
What decides which guests are shown to each other?
Both invitations have to have opted in. From there it is the same arrival airport, station or port, the same arrival date, and arrival times within a set window, three hours by default. Each invitation is shown its closest matches, up to a set number. Where they are staying orders the list; it never creates a match on its own. Invitations driving the whole way are matched only where that setting is on.
Does EventRide arrange the travel?
No. It shows guests who overlaps with them and stops there. Nothing is booked, arranged or paid for on the platform, and the guests take it from there between themselves.
What can the couple see?
Each person’s reply and party size, and where an invitation is staying if that invitation has agreed to it separately. How guests are travelling is never shown to the couple, whichever way they answer. When the album opens they see every photograph, can remove any, and can download them all.
How long is anything kept?
Journey and matching details are deleted within thirty days after the wedding ends. Dietary needs are deleted the day after it ends. Names, contact details and replies go six months after. The album stays with the couple. The full notice guests agree to is shown to them inside the platform.
How does a couple get it?
Through their planner. EventRide is sold to planners and offered to couples as part of their service, with the planner’s own view alongside the couple’s.
